I prepared vegan cinnamon rolls last night for my favorite Iraq veteran. Let’s hope they turn out well this morning in the oven. He spent a year serving in Iraq so he deserves breakfast from scratch at least once a year, right? Here’s the recipe I used: Minimalist Baker – Easy Cinnamon Rolls. The dough was delicious and it’s pretty hard to make cinnamon rolls taste bad so I’m excited to see how these turn out. A good cinnamon roll is one of those things like mac n cheese that I crave but also I struggle to find a sufficient vegan substitute. I’m hoping this recipe will satisfy my early morning sweet tooth while simultaneously showing my appreciation for a very handsome vet.
